Director Data & AI Engineering (m/f/d)

What we look for:

  • You take on the operational and strategic leadership and delivery of data and AI projects in close collaboration with the management team. 
  • You are responsible for the end-to-end implementation of data and AI platforms, from architecture design to development and production deployment. 
  • You build scalable backend services, data pipelines, and modern AI applications, including LLM- and agent-based systems. 
  • You translate complex requirements into clear technical concepts and ensure their efficient implementation within agile teams. 
  • You collaborate closely with clients, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery. 
  • You contribute to architecture decisions and support the continuous improvement of technical standards and best practices. 
  • You actively participate in sales and pitching activities and contribute to the development of the Data & AI offering.

What we require:

  • You hold an outstanding degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field. 
  • You bring several years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, AI engineering, or backend development, ideally in a consulting environment. 
  • You demonstrate strong expertise in building scalable systems and working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. 
  • You have hands-on experience with modern data architectures, APIs, and the integration of AI and LLM components. 
  • You are highly proficient in Python and experienced in building production-grade applications. 
  • You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach. 
  • You work in a proactive, team-oriented manner and take ownership of your responsibilities. 
  • You are fluent in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
