Vice President Data & AI Engineering (m/f/d)

What we look for:

  • You jointly take on the strategic leadership and further development of the Data & AI Engineering practice together with the management team. 
  • You own the end-to-end architecture of complex data and AI platforms and drive their successful delivery across multiple teams and client engagements. 
  • You shape the technological direction of data, cloud, and AI systems, including distributed architectures, data platforms, and LLM- and agent-based applications. 
  • You ensure that architectural decisions translate into scalable, production-grade solutions that can be effectively executed by delivery teams. 
  • You define and establish standards, best practices, and reusable architectures to continuously raise engineering excellence. 
  • You drive innovation in AI, LLM systems, and platform architecture and develop new services and thought leadership based on emerging trends. 
  • You play an active role in sales and pitching activities and represent OMMAX in strategic client interactions. 
  • You work closely with the OMMAX Leadership Team and People & Culture to scale the team and attract top talent.

What we require:

  • You hold an outstanding degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field. 
  • You bring several years of functional and leadership experience in data, AI, or software engineering environments. 
  • You demonstrate deep expertise in distributed systems, data platforms, and cloud architectures. 
  • You have extensive experience designing and scaling production-grade AI and LLM systems, including retrieval and agent-based architectures. 
  • You are highly proficient in Python and experienced in building scalable, event-driven backend systems. 
  • You have proven experience in leading teams and managing complex technical projects in client-facing environments. 
  • You combine strong analytical skills with an entrepreneurial mindset. 
  • You are fluent in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
